Dieter Dengler - US Navy Pilot
I Sky plussed a documentary on late last week - "Little Dieter needs to fly"
A documentary about a Skyraider pilot shot down by the Viet Cong in Laos. Taken prisoner, he was captive and on the butt end of some grim torture etc.
Might not be everyones cup of tea, but this guy is a complete role model in humanity, he has been to the edge and looked over.
Its in parts on Youtube, and I cannot recommend it highly enough, well worth watching.

Yep good documentary, there is also a film about it which as a docu-film was pretty close to the facts.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

The guy was really composed talking about his exposure to horrendous treatment, and in his older years when the documentary was made he appeared ontop
of his demons (If he had any)
When I read his wiki page, turns out he went down with a disabling nerve issue, and was wheelchair bound, he subsequently shot himself in 2001.
