Parking Manchester???
Morning,
On Wednesday I am taking my daughter to an Open Day at Manchester Met.
Train for the two of us is £121 return and at stupid o'clock in the morning, so car it is.
Problem is where to park??
Info pack from uni basically says ''tough if you come in a car''
Looked at park n ride but not the best website (or perhaps its too early for my brain..)
Anyone live around the area that can help a Norfolk Dumpling??????????

I go to meetings in Manchester quite often and park in a multi story car park next to the Days Inn Hotel -
here
It seems to be in the middle of the university!

Iirc (not been to Manchester for a few years) Duchie st or Dale st have a car park that's £3.50 or so for the day. It might not be close by
(they're in the city centre) though

The campuses are quite spread out in Manchester - which one is the open day at?

Make life easy for yourself and avoid getting caught up in one way or no-right turn systems.
Park in Stretford Mall's multi-storey (it's a pay and display) and hop a tram into Manchester.
Or park in Urmston (there's a pay and display near the station and a free car park not much farther away) and catch a train straight to Oxford
Road in Manchester.
Just had another thought. Park at the Trafford Centre (10,000 free parking spaces) and grab a bus to Manchester.

To be honest I'd just drive round the M60 to the Trafford centre - easy to find, guaranteed spaces, free parking, easy to find a bus to get to
and get back from the center of Manchester...... there probably are alternatives in East Manchester but they're all going to involve more
mucking about (probably cost more too) and you may as well just drive into the center of Manchester - which is actually pretty straightforward tbh as
long as you stop and park before you get to the very centre.
