If i had to choose between constant drizzle or the 41 degrees they had in washington DC, i'd choose rain all year long.

Just cut short our trip to Dorset & Devon because of the wet stuff
Last village we stayed in was cut off last weekend by the floods

Never seen what happens during a landslip before, but we have now

I've given up and will be wintering in Perth this year for Jan, Feb and March. And anything above 30C is fine by me.

Surely Scotland is going to be colder than Devon?

But it can be rotten, too - this is the Pinnacles Desert 150 miles north of perth as the biggest storm WA has ever seen was building up (also in march 2010!)

The rain in Spain falls mainly as hailstones!
Last week, the mate with the Westie in the photo left his Rav4 out in what turned out to be a ferocious hailstorm. He counted 180 dings to the roof and bonnet. The stones were so heavy as to shatter guttering and a mates pool-cover looks like it's been machine-gunned. Fortunately, it was very localised and lasted just a few minutes.
NOT MK weather!
