Fixing Tap to Ceramic Sink

We have a ceramic sink in our kitchen with a standard type of monoblock tap which has a swivelling spout.

When I installed it the tap was tight but every 6 months or so it becomes loose and when you twist the spout the whole tap tends to move in the sink. (It's connected via flexible tails).

The problem seems to be that all that's stopping it moving is the "C" washer with rubber ring on the underside and the "O" Ring seal between the tap body and glazed surface of the sink on the top.

I'm scared of tightening it any more because it's a ceramic sink and applying mastic during assembly has helped but is still not a permanent fix.

Any ideas?

John.

I have found that no matter how tight the nut is they often work loose. I would remove the tap and bond it in with clear silicone.
It will still be removable if required but should not budge in service.

Remove the tap, clean the hole, and do it back up fooking tight. Also make sure that the spout is properly greased. They still do this on copper tails, but at least with flexys they dont leak from coming loose.
