tile alternative question
What's that board stuff called that you can use instead of tiles when making a shower cubicle?
Is it any good?
Cheers

Wet wall boarding panels.
Yes.
But usually more expensive than tiling but quicker and no grout to clean.
Use the proper joining strips for a water tight joint.

Thanks Chaps
They strike me as having advantages over tiles - being easier to get a water tight shower cubicle and also easier to clean. Also a neater solution as
my tiling skills are only 'passable' rather than 'good'

I used them for an en suite shower room as I didn't fancy tiling. Came out looking pretty good. Very easy to put up.
Got ours from B&Q.

We do about maybe oh 1000 or so showers a year.
Once, they were all tiled, but now more and more people are choosing one of the many boards now available.
Some are 1220 wide with t&g edges.
Some are 1220 wide with square edges and joint strips.
Others are, I think, 150-200 wide with t&g edges.
They're very popular now because installation time is greatly reduced.
The punters love them, because there's no grout to end up getting grubby.
