My Nan used to say " you'll sooner do that as fly to the moon"
When Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon without comment she never said that again
She was born as the Wright brothers flew for the first time and saw man land on the moon

I thought it was pretty cool sending my 82 year old mum an email link to her Ipad, so she could watch the Curiosity Rover livestream from Mars...

There's not many iconic names that strike a chord with me when they die but he is definatly one of them
Surely must be one of the best known names on the planet though.

One of a brave group of guys. Not sure what their chances of getting back alive really were, but I bet around 50:50 wouldn't be too far out...

His landing on the moon 9 days after my 10th birthday were an inspiration to me and my parents. He will be sadly missed.

R.I.P Neil you are part of history, you showed bravery beyond what is normal.

Very sad - I still remember my old man waking me up and taking me downstairs to watch.

I was 3 and a bit years old, he said to watch because it would be something I'd remember for the rest of my life.

I don't remember the telly, I remember being woken and what he said. Lost the old man last year so hearing about Neil Armstrong makes it a little more poignant.
