Permanent pasture

I've found this near me, a plot of land of permanent pasture.

I've looked at what that means here, and from what I understand it means that land has to stay that way. Am I reading that right?

What are you thinking?
looks like it means ithas only been used for grass, no crops. Best ask the seller if you want to grow a crop, but I suspect that is not your idea....

Oh yes
Agricultural land is difficult enough to change use, this regulation makes it even more difficult.
You may only be able to use it for silage or grasing
Or you really like mowing the lawn

All together

You could buy it and then shout at people, "Get off moi land"

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

That area of land would be 20,000€ over here!

With the right handshake, the change of use and planning application would sail through these days.

Nice little plot for exclusive lakeside high cost housing.

Bet what it doesn't say (but implied) is that it's bordered on one side by the M62..

I'm more curious how it hasn't been snapped up for yet another estate of high priced houses, just got the impression it had been made illegal to build on it. But surely a nicely sized house and a test track would be possible

'land of permanant pasture' says to me that its only for animals to graze on and nothing else

With a 27 acre lake, stock it with trout and make a bloody fortune. IMHO Cheers Ray
