sat nav help !
turned on my trusty sat nav this morning,it,s a cheap chinese copy running "igo",a message appeared saying "programe application
database not found",tried reset and removing the chip but still the same,is it toast ?
who cares who wins

Friend of mine had the same it was the sd card that was the problem. the sat nav had to be reprogrammesd to find the root menu. I copied the SD card
contents to my laptop, uploaded to a new car then configured it to select the exe file from the sat nav
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

i thought about the card,it,s a teeny weenie one so dont have a reader for it.
pluged it into my compo using a usb lead and it said unit was faulty so couldnt see what was going on .

try it in your phone then connect a lead to see if you can read it my mates was a standard sd one

I assume its a microSD ?
if so you could use your phone as a card reader (assuming you've not got an iphone etc...)
or you can buy adapters to make them fit a normal SD slot:

(half the time you get the adapter free with a new card)
or I got one of these:

card once, wish I still had it as its really handy
