Train to Edingburh - locost
Hi, anyone know of any deals,tips to get cheap train travel to and from Eding?
Taking daughter to Uni open day and going to make a weekend of it.
Managed to get hotel on Tesco vouchers.
Trainline with family railcard (she only looks 15.....) £153 return
Reckon it will cost me about same in diesel and quicker.

Checkout "split ticketing" i.e. where you buy a ticket to an intermediate stop then another on to your destination - according to Martin
Lewis on the box a couple of evenings ago you can make some BIG savings doing this.

I did the same a ticket from Swansea to scunny was £122 single
A single to London kings cross from Swansea the a single to donny then a single to sunny was £60 cheaper

edinburgh has loads of flights to allover the country and the bus into town isn't expencive

Looked into it a few weeks ago, from leeds to edinbugger, and the cheapest tickets were usually really early morning, ie 6am etc. Could you not drive
to somewhere on the east coast mainline and get a train from there?
