I would like a mic input so there is not wind noise.

I had to modify an old Sont camera to accept a 2.5mm xbox mic.

Seems a steal at the price I dont think the Go Pro has a mic input

At that price a 2nd hand GoPro would likely be a better option.

The spec is very good for the price
Secondhand GoPro with mic input will still be twice as much
A sound recorder in the footwell and dub in edit is the way to go
Easy for me to say I do it for a living
Yes a mic input would be good but for that price perhaps that could be a second camera

Separate recorder and then dubbed in is a good idea.

I would have worries about having good sync thoughout a 20min video.

I'd much rather a used Go-pro for the same money as that new one, you cant expect much from a camera that has a £120 rrp.

A gro pro has been tried and tested a million times, and they are highly rated.

There is a certain amount of "Paying for the name" with Go-Pro... but I'd still like one to use on my flying things!

It's worth looking at the new Go-Pro range now - they've introduced the Hero3, so the prices of the Hero 1 & Hero2 have dropped significantly.

Hero 2 has mic input, and can sell as cheap as £150, defo not twice as much, and I expect will last and retain its value alot more than an unbranded copy.
