!!!!! EARTHQUAKE !!!!!

Bloody thing.

In the process of building my car, I have decided that with winter approaching its mad and impossible to contiunue buildin in a cramped single garage. I cant take 2 steps without tripping over steel or a welder.

SO, my current part of the project is extending my garage. Im putting a 8 ft square (as big as planning rules allow) lean to on the back of it, and spent Sunday cutting a big door hole in the rear, which will lead into the new shed. Made a nice job of fitting a lintel and everything.

(BTW - a diamond tipped blade cuts with a 9 ins grinder through brick FASTER than a knife in butter. The amount of dust is septemeber 11th proportions tho).

So, on the eve of completing this work, what do I get before I go to bed......bloody great rumble and a shake of the house. Quickly looking out at the garage it was still there.

What's the chances of doing 'major' building work for the first time and getting an earthquake that looks for all the world you just dropped yours and the neighbours ajoining garage and crushed 2 1/2 years of work

Just as a matter of interest, the epicentre was literally yards from my cousin's bungalow.

That reminds me, I need to ring him to find out if he's still alive. I really should get off here once in a while...

Until February this year lived in Ballywalter and had a plant hire business based in Crumlin but had to come back across the water due to wife but part of the deal was that she would let me build another Locost to soften the blow. No fries over here worthy of note that's for sure!!
