Help need a reccomendation for a simple dvd player

After getting several DVDs at Christmas, I really need something in the living room to play them on, I have Sky hd in the living room, and sky+ in the conservatory, plus a liteon DVD HDD player recorder.

What I'd like is a simple thin DVD player which will sit incospicuous under the Sky HD box.

I won't need to record, probably need blue ray, but what else should I look for? so any reccomendations please?

Cheers.

Pete

Just got one of these sony BDP-S390 £79.00 including delivery. This is a blu-ray player but will also play standard DVD. Not the cheapest but does have WI-FI built in so you can stream from the internet if you have a wireless router. It is quite small, although the top is not flat.

The ability to play divx and xvid is useful.

Most cheap Blyeray players got similar ratings to the very expensive ones.

As above try get one that plays Mkv,divx etc and with a USB input.

Ps3 was my choice but quite noisy if watching quiet movie.

Thanks

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Try RicherSounds, http://www.richersounds.com/ usualy the best prices, Sony are right up there in quality. Avoid the supermarket own brands, you get what you pay for at the end of the day.
