kawasaki zx12r water temp sender

Hi Guys,

Simple question.

Can I use the original zx12 engine water temp sender with a Smiths telemetrix gauge?

I don't think I can as its not moving with the engine getting hot.

If that's not going to work, whats the cheapest way to add a smiths sender?

They are not expensive but need a housing Smiths Water Temperature Sensor 3/8 NPT- Blade Terminal

Thanks
Stu

OK Looked it up and the resistance is way out.

Smiths gauge reads from 10-180ohms
source:https://www.europaspares.com/product/7/13139/GAUGES/SMITHS_TELEMETRIX_GAUGES/Smiths_Telemetrix_Electrical_Oil___Water_Temperature_Gauges.h tml

The bike gauge reads from 20degrees = 2.45 Kohms to 110degress = 0.1417Kohms - according to the manual.
