PV Solar installers
Looking at getting PV solar installed when we do our house build, has anybody got experience of any installers?, my impression of the industry is a
lot of less than professional outfits I would be reluctant to pay good money to or big companies (Eon etc) who probably use 3rd party installers
anyway... and views or experience welcomed.

Have you done the maths on a PV installation!?
To me they just dont make financial sense...
However, solar hot water/heating IS a very very good solution if you design in a decent thermal store and have underfloor heating

We used to fit for three different companies. They all used us (my friends company) as we are a roofing company and always left the roof in a
watertight condition.
Some of the installations we have seen by companies with no roofing experience are far from adequate. The panels were fitted correctly but the state
of the roof was not good.
Whatever company you choose, or look into, it would be worth finding out who will actually be fitting them.
