Sending goods to Russia

Got some designer glass frames which have attracted attention form a russian buyer.
Not sure whether online selling into russia is a good idea.
Anybody had any experiences

My wife has sent Ebay stuff to russia before now, she's not had any issues. Just follow the normal precautions, send it recorded, wrap it well, etc etc.

I was pretty hesitant to send some car parts there (I'm originally from Russia... many moons ago)

I've sent 3 separate parcels (all as part of one purchase), all arrived within 2 weeks, and all within a couple of days of each other, so absolutely no problem.

I've also sent books and stuff to relatives there, and they've all got there within 1-3 weeks, never went missing etc.

In fact the only problems I've had consistently with international shipping is Turkey and Indonesia/Malaysia, neither of which I will ship to any more (don't know whether it's the buyers or the postal service, either way, I'd be out of pocket!).

Take the money first, then use Parcel2go to send.

Safe as houses.

I've sent a fair bit of stuff to Russia, I only use bank transfer, card, or paypal as payment - never had any problems with reversed payments etc. Always send with proof of postage, tracking, insurance for what the item stands you in & a signature upon receipt. I have had a couple of deliveries that were VERY slow (one just less than a month & one just over), & one that disappeared (but claimed thro' the postal insurance for that) but other than that no probs

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
