Soundbars
Anyone using them and are they any good, I'm thinking of adding one to my 40" Toshiba TV as I need to improve the sound but don't
want lots of wires and speakers everywhere like with a 5.1 surround sound add on.
Been looking at these soundbars but there are so many at such varied prices, anyone got one or can recommend a good one, I was hoping to stay under
the £150 mark which I realize is pretty budget.

Sound bar
We have a LG tv with a LG sound bar and base speaker. We only use it when watching a film, but it makes a huge difference.

We have the Pioneer Blu ray and soundbar kit. The sound quality from the bar is very clear and crisp with good left to right deffinition which I was
worried about. They do look neat aswell.

My local sainsburys had the LG one on special offer yesterday, I didn't look to see how much as im skint but the display one looked really neat
- might be worth a look in your nearest sainsburys tho.

Thanks guys, is there any advantage to sticking to the same make as your TV, do they tie in to your existing remote? Or will any make do the job
fine.
I'll check out the Sainsburys on Andy, When looking online I've seen a few seriously reduced prices on HotUKdeals that have come and gone,
mostly LG ones so I take it they will come round again in time.

We have a Phillips soundbar and separate Bass box and are very pleased with it.
It has a separate remote control unit and should have been about 130 quid iirc but we were lucky and got it in a sale and used a discount code aswell

Yamaha sound bar here.
You kinda take it for granted until you switch back to the TV speakers and hells bells what a difference!!
Only down side is that it's supposed to project the sound around the room and simulate 5.1 but unless your room is perfectly square then it
doesn't really work that well.

The remotes are programmable these days. My Tivo remote does pretty much everything bar a few things.
The latests and greatest tvs and sound systems do intergrate more than just sharing remotes but its not worth the hunt and increased cost.
