Bolt in back of duratec bellhousing

I understand that I need to put a bolt in the back of the duratec bellhousing to stop a bit falling out of the gearbox.

Question is, do I put the top of the bolt flush with the back of the bellhousing or should there be a gap?

Cheers

Near flush as you can get it, certainly not proud. Just to confirm, its only needed with a standard box, the HD box as fitted to some V6 models (has the external layshaft spiggot support) do not need it.
