I've bought one thing - a heated bed for a 3D printer - and it was delivered within a reasonable time. I understand your concerns though - I
wasn't 100% confident until the package arrived.
Basically it's a Chinese ebay, without the usual buyer protections...

I've done about 10 orders, all but one has been fine.
The one that's wasn't okay was a pair of cruise control stalks for my vw, on one of the stalks a rocker switch had been pushed too hard
and been pushed back inside the housing. Contacted the seller and he said he would send another. After a while the buyer protection was running out so
I asked for a refund if he hadn't sent one out, promptly received a refund
