MX-5 handbrake bent?
Perhaps a daft question but is the MX-5 handbrake deliberately bent towards the passenger? I thought it had been damaged on my donor car, but looking
at replacements, they all seem to have a bit of an angle towards the passenger.

Mine is too! Its quite a good thing to as the westie uses the standard MX5 cables so it puts the lever quite close to the gearstick.

Been driving my MX5 for 4 years and I've never noticed that.
But yeah, I guess it could be? Seems fine in its natural environment though.

I have deliberately angled my handbrake toward the passenger side on my Locost, makes it more comfortable to use. The gearstick is close to the
handbrake and in just the right place. Just a wrist movement between the two.

Not obvious when actually on an mx5 but I imagine this is on purpose to help make sure the arm clears the transmission tunnel without rubbing?
