help with connector name
Can anyone tell me the correct name of this part? Ive searched for shell connector but cant find much info about it so presume its called something
else?

typically called 4 pin Din, also available in anything from 2 to 13 pin,... not suitable for high current or high voltage,...

the one posted is not 4 pin din, they dont have the locking ring. also the din ones have smaller pins.

Are you wanting to source one half of it so you can connect to an existing other half you already have?
If you can't find/identify it you might be as well to replace the complete connector with something you can source.

Cheers for the replies lads
Its for push button gear changes. The buttons are on a steering wheel. Its going to connect to the cable so the steering wheel can be removed as
needed

in that case its very likely you could/should also use the nice coily cable from the microphones that I referred to earlier.
