What car was it?
Just clearing out some files on my PC and found this pic, taken on the Tour of Mull rally when I was up there a couple of years ago. my brother and I
were the first to the scene and although the driver and co-driver were okish (broken bones but ok otherwise) it made me think that I needed to sort
out some first aid training.
Have a guess what it was before it somersaulted 3 times, took out a telegraph pole 1/2 way up and barrel rolled down a field towards the cliff
edge!!...................Mk2 Escort! (was nat. asp cossie powered and absolutely mint pre crash as well)
ouch

good god, you should have let us have a guessing game. I was thinking hillman imp with the shape of the cabin. I guess the body formed around the roll
cage.

certainly doesnt bear much resemblance to a mk2 escort anymore!
inamongst the carnage, i was thinking the front had a bit of Alfa Giulia about it...

Looks like NSU with the square sides and top.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Just to give a bit more detail, the car landed so hard on it's boot during the somersault that the entire boot had gone, and the ally GP4 fuel
tank was like a piece of crumpled aluminium foil.
Both the seats in the car were mounted on very nice 3/8" thick dural mounts, but had both snapped the front of these mounts clean off and the
seats were laying back in the rear seat area having hinged over on their rear mountings.
Another car went off later in the day in the exact same spot, taking another telegraph pole with it, rolling down the same field and bouncing off the
yellow car.
Have to say that these two accidents, watched from close range, did play a part in encouraging me away from rallying and towards other forms of
motorsport!
This didn't help either, but having said that it is an awesome rally and a must see, I go to watch every year now.

Its a trebant - loads of them just like that in Russia
Or is it the 206 off the advert in India. You can see whare the elephant sat on it. Needs a bit more panel beating if you ask me!
