Mitsubishi Carisma part.

I confidently rang my local Mitsubishi Main Dealer to order a small part for an on-going project. They ran the part number I gave them and quickly came back on the phone and asked what car it was off. I told them it was for a Carisma, which wasn't released in Australia, but I was pretty certain the Gallant would be the same. Apparently not.
If anyone on the forum from the UK or the US works for Mitsubishi (or anyone who feels like helping out), would be kind enough to grab me the (very small) part I need I'll be eternally grateful and happy to send the necessaries including shipping costs via PayPal.
If you can help, please email me and I'll give you the details.

Thanks for all the offers of help, but peteff has come to the rescue.

Hi Rorty,
If the part you are searching for is a chassis-part then you should go to your nearest Volvo-dealer. 90% of the Carisma and the Volvo V40/S40 chassis are identical. I'm sure about this because the Carisma and Volvo V40/S40 were built here in the Netherlands (a swedish and Japanese Car!!!!!) at Nedcar, 1.5 mile from where i live. The Volvo part will be slightly more expensive, but hey, its Volvo.

Greetings, Rob

Thanks guys. peteff is currently hunting down the part, but there seems to be some confusion.
dutchsuperseven, I looked through the catalogues I have and can't see any Volvo V40/S40 BJs that look remotely similar, but thanks for the input anyway.
The item I'm chasing is the front upper balljoint from the Carisma (Mitsubishi part number MB430351 or QH part number QSJ 1663S) which is a press-in spigot type and looks like this: Rescued attachment BJ-Carisma_fr_upper.jpg

If they're definitely the ones in the picture I would go with them Rorty. The Mitsubishi part number comes up as a complete bottom arm. I'll try the other place tomorrow just out of curiosity.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Still here Rorty...

I'll email this as well but at PCS the part in the picture is Mitsubishi part number MB241883. It's a push in joint for the bottom arm and is £8.69 +vat about £10.20ish. The other number shows as a complete arm same as elsewhere.
