It's a stone circle on Dartmoor. Are you buying it from a Druid ?

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

TRY GOOGLING !!

i cut and pasted the text "Scorhill Magic Sports" from your post and found hits.

I then tried "Scorhill owners club" - the first result is the CV of the guy who formed the owners club.

Also try searching this web site.

To be honest, if you're a complete novice then i wouldn't buy it. Its going to take time and money to look after it. Get something that is popular and has an owners club you can join.

Assuming its the one on ebay, then i'd say have it! It looks well done and the mechanicals are all standard stuff so should'nt be difficult to look after. Unless you don't want to look after anything and don't have a mate or a friendly real garage to do it for you. In which case a more run of the mill motor may be better?

Why do you want a Scorhill Magic?

You started it. I typed Scorhill Magic sports car in google and got 17 hits. It must be bad though, nobody dare publish a picture of it. This bloke built one and was so proud of it he included it in the background of one of his other cars.

I take it that from the general response...most people wouldn't touch this with a barge poll....I think I might give it a miss....and opt for a more standard buy like a Westfield..seen a 1700 SE in white and 12000 on the clock/wet gear and sports exhaust ...any thoughts out there ?????????

If you like it, don't let us influence you. It looks a genuine car but I can't see it going for what it's making now. He will pull it or the high bidder at the moment is a shill bidder trying to bump up the price. Probably a mate of his or an alternate i.d. he uses, that's why it is private ( seen this on a few occasions ) Best way to see is to look at sellers other auctions and see if the private bidder is on them as well. Westfield is a safer bet if you get fed up of it or want to alter it.

magic kitcar

I have owned one of these for years although due to certain personal reasons it has been awaiting a rebuild for a while! Although seven replicas are popular, not everyone wants one or a cobra so while its not beauty queen and ugly from the rear, its not so bad from the front! I've been trying to trace the moulds with little luck, can anyone help? Rescued attachment 6c_1_b.jpeg

See what I mean.

For a seven replica you could get all the panels from any one of at least 6 suppliers and make the car into what you want, stripped out or show car. They are popular because they are easy (in comparison)
