Looks real to me, but I'm a Yank Maybe it looks off because of the color.
Hard to believe those beauties were built in 1956!

It is most definately a Jaguar SS XK, and, yes, a road going D type....of which not very many were made (originally), they were made in the mid
1950's. Its like a short-nosed D type, but with all the 'road bits' on it.
And of course minus the 'fin'...
