Western Union Money Order

Whats the crack with Western Union Money Orders then?

I've been sent one for an item I sold on Ebay. Are they safe for the seller?

Western Union is way of sending money internationally....

Basically a point to point cash system with none of the safeguards Paypal has.

Because of this, most scams ask you to pay by Western Union...

As a seller - should be.

Take it along to your nearest WU office and they should give you the cash....I think....

WU office! How do I find out where the closest is?
Can't I just take it to the bank?

Cash Converters usually change Western Union money orders for you.

As a seller you should be fine, they work a bit like a postal order i think. Once you have the money, thats it.

Have a word with your buyer too, ebay don't allow WU money orders as payment.
Too many Nigerian con artists use WU payments...

I personally wouldnt see a problem with it as a seller.

the buyer gives you your WU order number, you take that and your passport and the name of the sender to you local office, they give you cash, then you send the goods...
