trailer
hi there everyone,
my chassis pick up date is fast approaching (1st of April) and i need some transportation for it, i was thinking that i would need to hire a big van,
something like a spinter etc, or would it be possible for me to borrow someones trailer? i only have a vauxhall corsa as my run about motor so i
dont know whether the bit that goes on the back of the car will fit or where it bolts on to etc(please enlighten me if you can) im in the midlands
region and dont mind travelling to pick the trailer up, ive done a bit of a ring around the local garages and the prices ive got for van rental is
anything from £80-£120, if any of you have a trailer that you wouldn't mind lending for a day to a person who needs your help, let me know, beer
tokens available in return!
Kind Rgds
Alex

I am in Coventry and you can borrow the trailer I used to pick up my Indy chassis with if it is any use to you.
It is flat and has good tie down points.

if theres no towball on your corsa then its going to be a bit of a faff using a trailer. your options seem to be:
-borrow a van
-hire a van from a company
-hire a handy van man (driver included)
-borrow trailer and fit towbar
-borrow trailer and tow car
-use a roof rack.
Id look into the roof rack myself, the chassis are usually around 80odd kgs which isnt too much for some roof racks.

If you havent got a towbar its gonna cost you 100 quid or more to have one fitted. So theres your 80-120 quid van hire.
Towbars are always handy though.

Doubt a corsa would be heavy enough to tow the trailer even never mind a car in bits aswell! Hire a van....Oli.
