Non car related...Halagon lighting info.
Yep nothing to do with cars but seeing as there is always someone floating about here who is in the know....
I fitting some down lighters in my daughters room. Last time I did so I fitted 12v jobs with transformers etc. Now that there are 240v versions of the
same I just wondered if there is any difference? seems pointless fitting 12v with the added cost if 240V ones do the same..
Any advice welcome...Cheers.

240v ones have little power saving benifits, if any.
240v lamps don't tend to last as long and are generally more expensive to buy.
However they are both cheaper and easier to install.
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!

Exactly the reason I switched to the low voltage. 240v lamps kick out so much heat that they kill themselves pretty quickly - I was changing at least
two bulbs a month in a kitchen with 4 lights.
I now have 5 low voltage ones and only have to change them every now and again.

Think there main benefits of the low volatge versions is that they can be fitted anywhere in Bathrooms etc.
