has anyone put a bike engine in an elise??
what is involved and was it a success..just interested for a future project

No, but I saw a 340bhp 1.4l K series powered one at Brighton Speed Trials a few years ago.
A reckon it'd be an ideal candidate, esp if you coulod lose a 100 kgs (some of which would be made by losing the k series.

The Elise would have been Mark Waldron's turbo'd Elise. Fairly successful in the British hill climb championship when it was actually
running!
I was on the verge of buying the first engine off them for an Elise but the new engine blew up (again) and they needed it back to run the car 
I've also seen a bike V8 in an Elise as a test mule but I don't think that was going to be offered as a kit.

Holeshot have developed an Elise BE kit. They had it at the Autosport Show, a hayabusa engine with a turbo.
