Cautionary note

Yesterday I parked my Tiger Supercat near W.H.Smiths at the Broughton Shopping Park near Chester. As I left the car park to drive down the dual carridge way my bonnet flew off.
With luck it mised me, landed on the road with very little damage, on checking my rubber catches they were all in the "locked" position (upright).
As I had driven down there at some speed the only thing I can think of is that someone deliberatly unlocked them to loosed the bonnet and then replaced then into the upright position to appear to be locked.
I am now in the procedd of devising a way to cable tie them so they will not be so easily tampered with and unlocked.
Mike.
The moral of the story is "Always check you bonnet locks"

Or they could have just been nosing around and unable to put them back properly ie stupid and interfering rather than malicious.

I saw a group of Japanese tourists taking photos of themselves against my car - all fine till one of them pushed the bonnet to test if he could sit on it. To this day I cant believe that it popped back up and did not damage.
