usually pretty good. good luck. make sure you stress it wasn't on anything outside its spec, you'd oil the nibbler etc if you'r supposed to.

i bought a bench drill from machine mary, got it home and half of the kit was missing from the box, i took it back the next day, and they replaced it with no questions, after checking everything was there on the counter i left a happier bunny than when i walked in

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

I had a nightmare but only because I wanted my money back.

They tried every thing to get around my basic consumer rights.

They even insisted on pissing me of by sending it to there parts department to be inspected and making me wait 10 days for my refund, Insisting that they couldn’t make that decision I only had the item 7 days.

I've found them to be pretty good - I had the same issue with a bench drill with missing bits. It was replaced without quibble.

I've also got a pair of the nibblers mentioned and they have been OK. They're not as good as my old pair, but then they only cost about £5 so can't complain really.

What was it you bought?
I know on the wall of my local machine mart they have notice about petrol engined tools that they will be inspected by their returns dept before refunding.

check out

linky

I would add that I went in calm and explained the situation, the bloke behind the counter said that he was changing it without hassle because of my attitude, most people go in shouting the odds and that just gets peoples backs up.

remember the old adage

"You catch more flies with honey than vinegar"

This is because (with petrol mowers) certain bozo's don't read the instructions and engines are supplied dry!

Take it back, tell them to replace it or refund. There and then. Sale of Goods, fit for purpose etc etc

I also brought a drill operated nibbler from m/mart.
After about a month the cutter snapped. I took it back , they said that the cutter is nit usually covered, only the die part.
That said, they did give me a new one but I do spend quite alot of money with them, both for the car & work.

Got to be worth trying.

It was a micro milling machine.

I was told it was ex-display and hence no box but other wise AS-NEW. I was happy at this but the goods where not as described to me, there was parts missing, the gears where striped and it was falling to bits, a bag of bob infact.

I rang them with in an hour of getting it home, they said fine bring it back and they would repair or refund it.
When I got it back to the store The guy even denied the conversation on the phone and said all I could have was a repair.

They only got funny because I insisted on my money back. They would have been fine if I had excepted a repair.

I to have bought many things from them but this fact didnt cut any ice.

I work in retail and understand that it is best to be calm, polite but firm. In the end I had to get the regional manager on the phone and insist on my basic consumer rights. They only sent the item back for inspection out of pety revenge.

all in all not a nice experiance.
