should I have done the lottery this week?

Well several months ago as I started to strip my Granada as a donor, one of the gas struts failed on my Omega estate. This led me to use the mark11 tail gate support - a length of wood.
However seeing as I will be going to Newark with my nearest & dearest (Wife that is) we thought OK true locosters we'll camp. That means that we needed to buy a tent. So last week we saw an advert a flyer from halford for a decent looking 4 man/2 berth tent with/including 4 sleeping bags, 2 inflatable matress's and 2 night lights. Grand price £155. So I sent Mrs JGG off to buy said tent with £200 folding readies. About an hour later she returns and gives me back £100 folding. Whats this says I. Well says she "when I got there they only had one left so I grabbed it and when I got to the check-out they scanned it and the price came up £154.99, so I then pointed out that where I got it from the price on the shelf said £99.99. So that what they sold it to me for. Ive got the receipt if you want to see it."
RESULT. Saving £55

This morning I was up at my lock-up strpping the Granada and I found that I still had some fuel in it, So I connected an old dead battery to the fuel pump wirring harness in the boot ( 2.0 EFI granada) disconnected the fuel return pipe from the pressure regulator, connected the rubber hose to some copper pipe which in turn was poked into the fuel filler on the Omega. when the pump and tank ran dry I checked the fuel guage on the Omega, this now showed approximately an extra 35 litres of fuel.
RESULT. Saving £35

Then I loaded the Omega with parts from Grump to take to tip. Tailgate, 2 doors. interior trim etc. and duly dropped them at tip. As I was about to throw the tail gate I thought Lets save those struts some one might need them. As I took the first one off I thought I wonder. Checked the size against the struts on the Omega's tail gate and LO and BEHOLD they were the same lenght AND the same fittings.
RESULT. Saving About £60

Now I think should I have done the lottery this week.?
