Funny you should say about taking the engine to bits on the side of the road, there was a bloke with his one in bits down on the sea front. Felt bad
for him but i couldn't help because i dont know nothing about them.
Not really into scooters but you just have to be impressed with all the effort they put into them and how well they look.

I live next door to a 'scooterist' and frequently set off on a sat/sunday for a ride with several other mates all on top end sports bikes.
We go out and come back after a few hours... My neighbour will get on his vespa and ride to Paris for a weekend...
He doesn't understand me and I don't understand him.
The reckless man may not live as long......
But the cautious man does not live at all.....

Used to be a Scooter boy myself - went to a HUGE rally on the Isle of Wright some time back - had a great weekend.... also went on an organised cruise
through central London with the coppers blocking the roads off for us - ending up atthe Who/Quadraphenia concert in Hyde Park with special parking
round the back - now that was a top day out, got some piccies somewhere.....

I had a LD150 then a TV175 when I was a lad, then I found out bikes were a lot better.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I have had most things with 2 wheels ranging from 25mph to 175mph. But I still have a soft spot for the vespa. I only got rid and bought a bike out
of protest. I kept turning up to scooter club meets having done 50 miles in all weathers to find every one elts had come in there car, some only a
mile away
