painting discs

not the friction surface!!

Im fed upwith seeing rust on my discs, will engine laquer stay on the hub area of discs or will it just turn messy?

I always do mine with smooth hamerite.

stays on and always looks good.

I use high heat resistant flat black paint as sold for painting exhaust pipes

We have used Foliatec (2 Pack) Brake Caliper Paint. It's resistant to Brake Fluid and resist's high temperatures so we have put it onto our disc's too without much discolouration. Under extreme heat is does go 'off' a little, which you would expect it to.

It's remained on for ages and we have also painted the Oil Sump with it, brake master cylinder without any problems. It is quite expensive (around £20) but this will cover all 4 (front and rear) Sierra calipers and non-face disc surfaces 3 times.
