Welcome sir, I too 'converted' from bikes after one of my mates was killed... I then sold the car, bought another bike, crashed head on into a berk overtaking coming towards me and, well here I am back here building another car. When I get the insurance anyway!

There are lots of worthy 7esque cars out there worth considering.

The Mac#1, MK Indy, Avon, Procomp, GTS, Lmr and more spring to mind. Have a look at them all them decide what is for you, what you expect from the manufacturer and importantly the build.

I looked around and have fallen for the Mac#1 for ease of build, support, SVA etc, although I have to admit the Procomp has more visiual appeal to me, however being MK 2 Escort based is too far back for me.

Single donor Sierra enables me to keep the year plate and makes live very simple.

Take your time, read the reviews, search the forum, and ask the guys on here anything you need to know. Ask in the relevant section and you'll get loads of help.

Happy building!

Steve

Welcome

I take it you will be using a bike engine in your car? If you want the same buzz as a bike then this type of engine is a good thing to consider

Hi,
This is the place to learn anything you ever wanted to know about sevenesque type cars. It's brilliant.

Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Hallo, good evening, and welcome. This is the place for free info. most of it very knowledgable. Every thing from scratch building, to buying a completed car, it seems some of the members prefer building to driving, so there is usualy a good selection of very well constructed cars available. Best of luck with whatever route you decide to take. ATB Ray
