No claims bonus con?
Hi.
Just got off the phone to adrian flux to ask them to send me proof of my no claims bonus. They told me that I can only use my no claims bonus on 1
car. I want to use it for my insurance on my tin-top and my indy. Surely this is wrong! Please can someone confirm that the operator i spoke to at
Flux is a retard and not correct.
thanks

They're right, you can only use no claims bonus on one policy.

Yep - they are correct, you only earnt it on one policy so can only use it on one policy.
With that said, there are insurers who will allow a maximum introductory no claims bonus if you have a full no claims elsewhere.
If you are phoning flux and are trying to get a kit insurance then you shouldn't need NCB - kit cars are on a specialist policy that don't
use, or earn no claims bonus.

If you're not talking about a kit car, then Direct Line will allow a no claims bonus to be used on a second car with just 1 condition - both
cars have to be insured 'driver-only' (for the same driver, of course!). This makes sense, as I can only drive one of them at a time,
unless I strap one to each foot...
...trouble is, they won't do kit cars.
Saying that, my Adrian Flux policy was only just over £100 disregarding ncd!

Problem is ive earned 2 years ncb on the indy. Now ive had to buy a comuting car too and need to insure it. I was sad enough having to buy a
sensible car nevermind getting rogered on the insurance.

Its a complete rip off, you're good driving record only applies to one car, however if you have a claim on one car it goes against you for both
policies.

Try Osborne and Son. They give a big fat discount if the kit is insured as a second car, even if the first isn't insured with them!

There is no No Claims Bonus available on limited mileage policies with any of the companies I've consulted, same for my bike.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

i have two policies through tesco, one with 4 years and one with 3 years NCB. Bit of a shame since i'll only have one car to insure in the near
future. Might have to switch it to direct line and let the missus use it and build up her own NCB too. Except she cant drive yet...

Maybe you could tell insurer that the Indy is off the road and you want to change car on policy to the tin top, benefitting from the NCB. Then
re-insure Indy somewhere else?

I insured with Adrian Flux on 5000 miles and was told I would gain NCB. But it is my only car as my other is a Company car.
