Does my avatar look big in this?
As it says, is it too big? Not sure on the height of it, what with it being thin.

In a word - yes.
On the GFs 1024x768 monitor, can't see your whole post on the screen at the same time as it scrolls off the top/bottom

It shouldn't be. I shrunk it by 80 pixels!
And by another 40 now.
