Its running fine but I've got a bit of a rattle
Well there I was at work and the boss says come and have a look at this.
He says to me "The driver just drove it in and said its developed a bit of an odd noise, almost a rattle from the engine, but its running fine.
Can you have a look at it for me."
So the boss did then called me cos he'd just taken it fo a test drive down the A45 to wellingborough (6 miles) and back. Then he'd started
to look for the noise he'd heard while driving it.
See if you can spot it from the first post after this.

Burst pipe coming ovet the rocker box. Just plain ran out of water.

Was there ever a cam belt cover? If so, where did it go?
Also, something appears to be missing from the injection pump.
Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

Yep. Looks like the cam pully is hanging off to me.
Belt looks decidedly pi55ed.
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!

i used to have a zx 1.9 i did 247k in it and never even changed a cam belt, best and uglyst car i'd ever owned

Oh and the rusty deposit was sprayback from the overflow.

Still got one with 225k miles (3 door though so not quite so ugly!). Bought new car so it has to go soon
