Anyone know where you find out the equivalent steel specs from us to uk standards

A36 is a low carbon hot rolled steel used in plate, angle iron, channel etc.

It certainly is not anything special.

I couldn't tell you the exact equivalent but what ever that stuff is made from in the UK is the equivalent.
