New Car Idea's

My mrs is looking for a new car, she's fed up of her MG TF 135 already! We have nine grand to spend and are currently looking at a tuned Skoda Fabia vRS with 190bhp and 300ftIb of torque. She wants something quick and fun to drive, was wondering if you guys and gals had any other ideas for possible motors?

for about 1500 more you could get a Audi S3 225BHP QUATTRO might keep you entertained if you have the extra cash.

second hand of course

Try a Seat Leon Cupra TDI PD 150. I just happen to have one for sale. They are actually a really good car as are the Ibizas and the Fabias

I'd go for a 225bhp Leon Cupra "R", fast, cheap, VW underpinnings, good main dealer customer service (in my experience) and IMHO better looking than the Skoda (and the MG which I've never like).

Merc CLK 220 or 320 - you can get a 2000 reg with less than 50k on the clock and a VERY classy car.

Or how about an 850 BMW? Quick enough and an awesome bit of kit....

Or just go the usual A3, Skoda, Leon, Golf route. I tried em all when I was looking, and NONE of them inspired me at all. Good cars I know, but I also know I will just get bored of them very quickly.

I love my new Toyota Celica GT, you can pick up a T Sport which has the same 190bhp engine for about £10,000. Redlines at 8,200rpm and i have calculated getting 38mpg on long distance driving averaging 75mph. Maybe worth a look!
