pipercross photo picks

THIS WILL PROBABLY ONLY CONCERN BEC OWNERS & MAYBE SOME CEC OWNERS

hi all,

does anybody have any photos of the pipercross filters used on the BEC's, if you have a pipercross filter on bike carbs that are on a car engine that will be even better.

my R1 carbs are currently at Bogg Bros and steve Bogg says that he can provide me with a pipercross filter for them, but he wants to know which one i want.

so all hands to the cameras on this one guys. can you get me some snap shots.

ATB Alex

Hi

you will need a pipercross PX600 filter element and back plat
i used a 120mm height with a 90mm internal height for my R1 carbs with standard R1 trumpets

burton power part no C603D

i made a back plate from carbon fibre because at the time i couldnt get a blank back plate. these are part no C6006

please note though that if you fit the back plate to the carbs in the same way they fit to an R1 airbox, which after a bit of trial and error i found the best way. you will need to fit spacers above the holes for the carbe to allow the mounting rubbers to fit snugly.

i will try to post a pic tomorrow as my camera isnt working at the moment.

cheers
Paul

Here's mine... a PX600 with a blank baseplate cut to attach to the standard airbox mountings. Same part numbers as Paul said earlier.

I've just noticed you have an R1....
You may have noticed mine isn't

Nice bonnet bulge Kissy! ...I was lazy and just cut a ferking big hole

It was originally cut to fit exactly but I couldn't take the bonnet off without removing the air filter
