Caravan chassis.
Morning.
Has anyone made a car trailer out of a caravan chassis?? They are cheap as chips.

HI about 20% of race paddocks are full of such things . Altho some people spend so much money doing it they could of brought a seconhand manufacturer
made trailer for less.
One of the good thing about a caravan chassis trailor is that it has softer suspension than the likes of a bj ect and dose tow verry smothly if the
wheels are pointing in the right direction.
Or just use the axle from the chassis and custom make the rest of it to suit your aplication . And like our one we made you could make it fold in half
and then have it so it could stand up the side of a wall taking up no space if you are tight for space that is.
I think there was a thread not to long a go about home made trailors on here Worth a look for insperation.

Hi sorry mate i didnt take any pics but the trailer will be at the donny show somwhere if you are going.

I made one from a caravan chassis, I just added some box section length ways and fitted some 2mm steel plate for the deck.
The good thing is they come with decent brakes and are fairly light to start out with.

Paul yours looks good, Did u use a small caravan or a big one and chop it down??
Think im gonna find a chassis and have a bash.
