A Grand Day Out
Thought I would share a few drag racing pics with you that I took at the national finals earlier this month. I have only just got around to uploading
them since I have been on dial up internet all summer!
This one was taken from halway down the track, just as well I took my decent camera.
The think I like about SP is that you can get right up to the machines...
Now this is what I call a bike engine
This cars number was 666, so I had to have a pic
I was luck enough to get right up close to some of the top fuelers to get some good pics.
I am glad we went on the saturday as a spectator was unfortunately killed on the sunday...

Where else can you get close up and see them strip and rebuild an engine in a couple of hours.

But you've got to be crazy to do 250 mph in 5.5 secs with the prop shaft between your legs and the clutch between your feet.

Lex Joons 4.7 sec 318mph run in the afternoon was just awesome.
Shame someone was killed on Sunday.
How did it happen?
