Registration year?

When browsing the British ebay and other car sites I often see cars advertised with a letter code indicating the year of registration (for example "S Reg" ). can someone point me in the direction of a list of registration years and their corresponding letter code? It would make browsing such sites a lot easier.

well spotted humbug, it is indeed the 1st september that new plates come out (as you would guess, 6 months on from march)
