Early Bonfire
Last night it looks like the kids who hang out around our church couldn't wait until tonight for a bonfire. I hope whoever did it goes to hell,
the coppers catch them and hang them! Its not just Saddam who should die in this out of control world!

but what really pisses you off is , if the police do catch them & thats a bloody big if , they will only get a slap on the wrist & told nt to
do it again

Hopefully your church was well insured and will get restored to its former glory or better.
Those who did it should not be forgiven and should be made to atone their deeds, but you just know it will not happen.

The coppers were in there yesterday with sniffer dogs. They have confirmed it was arson.
The place was listed because of two very old windows, the earliest dating back to 1836. I doubt it will be restored. It is totally gutted.
The fire service didn't get any real water on it until the roof had caved in. They were keeping the front cool as its very close to houses and
shops. Set back off the road with no real vehicular access hindered them a lot. It wasnt until they got a big turntable ladder in with a huge water
cannon that they got it under control.
