Go or Stay? You decide

Ok, i've got tickets to go watching the Levellers tonight in Brum. Got a dilema.

I've got a bad back. Made it 100 times worse last night going watching the Wonder Stuff. Ended up waking up ever time i turned over due to pain. Now on perscription drugs and they are quite effective but i know if i wasn't on the drugs i'd be a mess and this is one of the worst things i can do.

so, go out or stay in?

go and watch, but don't dance or drink (mixing that with prescription painkillers isn't wise).

I've got a 4 week supply - so i've got plenty. Although the look on the docs face when i asked,
"will i be ok to snowboard in 4 weeks then"
sort of told me i was being a bit stupid asking the question and he wasn't going to be stupid enough to waste his time answering

its genarally thought that the best thing for a bad back is to keep as mobile as possible so go and enjoy my friend!

how freaky is this, i was whistling 'no change' off a weapon called the word today in the van, and thought to myself 'wonder if they are touring anytime soon?!' Dont suppose they are heading north are they?

You gotta go mate, enjoy it whilst you can Not using your back will make it worse, use it well and support it when your not.

Get some Fiery Jack on it and go see the Levellers, stay in bed all day tomorrow. I bet you've already gone

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Get a decent physio to manipulate your spine and practice the Alexander Technique. Most doctors are quite ignorant of modern back treatments and will dish out painkillers instead of proper treatments (my local doctor admits this freely). Ask your local GP if there is a Physio Direct service in your area, they can be slow, but they are free, or for more instant relief, dig deep and go see a private physio. My local physio was £25 a session when he retired in May. I know your pain.

I've done an alexander technique introduction workshop. It was interesting, but for me, presented in far too cultish a fashion.

Feeling a hell of a lot better today (didn't go last night, regret the decision but also considering how i feel this morning a smug part of me knows it was the right decision)

Going to stick with the pain killers for a week and see how i feel.
