i pod nano 4gb
i have just bought one for the missus for xmas its says that you need usb 2.0 ive got the old style use 1.1 and ive just added a firewire card to my
p.c can i use either of these two meathods or do i have to add the usb 2.0 to the computer

IIRC the new ones dont mind usb 1 or 2 its just quicker with 2.
I also think im right in saying that firewire is no longer supported for transferring, or at least thats the case with mine.

you can use the old USB 1. my old PC transfers file great to the nano

I'm sure they supported firewire still! Firewire has always been an apple thing and its quicker than USB2 even and used to charge the ipod as
well....You might need to buy a different cable or something though.....Oli.
If your not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room!

ISTR USB2 is actually faster than Firewire - 480Mbps against 400 for firewire. There's a new firewire out now - Firewire 800 - but I don't
know of a peripheral that supports it!
