ebay problem
my misses has bought a phone on ebay

which as you can see is described as "in good condition"
on receipt of the phone is find it is quite damaged for a phone in "good condition"
what should i do, the damage is not obvious in the listing.

I'm not sure if you'll get anywhere as "good condition" is always subjective.
Could try doing an "item not received as described" or whatever its called. See if the seller offers a refund.
Should be able to pick up new cases pretty cheap I'd have thought.

i know about the dispute thingy, i am wondering if the item is "significantly different" or not
i have contacted the seller who politely say she can't help as she doesn't do refunds. she didn't quite grasp the fact i was
complaining.

Unfortunatly there seems to be a difference in opinion of what constitutes "good" condition.
"Good" is very subjective.
I agree that in his pictures it looks in "good" condition, but in your huge pics it looks "average used" condition.
Then when you factor in the price you paid, maybe you were expecting too much?
Should you have asked about scratches?, should he have given more detail about "good"?

is the phone fully working?
Does it state that the case is in good condition ? or ' The whole phone is on good condition'
I belive you have reason to complain but as pointed out it is in good condition to one thats been run over by a bus.

the problem is, my misses bought this for her mum for christmas and she can't really give a pressy in this conditon. the misses wants to
complain and generally shout at the seller but im not sure we're gonna get anywhere

Before doing anything, contact the seller & have a moan, indicate you will leave negative feedback if something is not done. Be clear about what
you want, ie money off or return the phone for a complete refund, but be reasonable, it's far better to resolve things amicably if poss rather
than opening dispute etc which can take weeks /months to resolve & loads of faffing about.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator

many thanks for the help chaps, inresponse i have contacted the seller and she said that she is unwilling to budge.
i looked for replacement fascias on ebay and i couldnt find any, many thanks.

I bought a router (wood) from eBay recently. It was described as very good condition.
When it arrived, it was in very bad condition. I made a list of points that I had a problem with, arguing that these were not compatible with any
practical definition of very good condition and therefore the router was not as described. I asked the seller to take the item back. Eventually, he
did.
Looking at your large pictures, your phone is not as described - I feel you should try the eBay dispute procedure - if you do, I'd be interested
to hear how you get on

I'd go down the negative feedback threat first, asking for a refund unless you get a reduction due to misleading information. It is however
subjective but in your case (no pun intended) it looks like you were intentionally mislead.
If push comes to shove, lodge a dispute and leave negative feedback. Alternatively - take it on't chin and buy new case/covers... next time you
will ask for better pictures.
We live and learn....

Sorry Liam, I think you're on a loser there - you can see the scrathes on her pic on the listing, and as others have said 'good' is
very subjective, if it's working and has a few scratches on it, then I think for a secondhand mobile it's probably fair enough, she
hasn't said it was 'mint' after all. You could leave negative feedback, but she can contest it.
I had a situation where a sell sold me something as 'mint' and it arrived damaged. I bought it with my Amex from the US. One call to Amex
had the money back on my card and the seller had to pay me £30 in costs to get his item back. I just got the item verified by a local
'expert'.
