I must admit I stopped getting the other Kit Car magazine becuase of his constant whines about Which Kit Car and the constant "we are the best" put me off.

After finding the Total Kit Car mag in Tesco I found that quite an interesting read.

I knew sooner or later some mug would eventually reach up and bye a copy of the magazine. I'm surprised they had to go halves on £ 3.95 tho'

Hmm I got the impression they were in trouble. The last few copies (which I didn't buy incidentally ) seemed awfully thin.

I got a bit p****d off with the slanging match myself, so stopped bying that one , but WKC is getting very thin now, and they seem to moan about the amount of seven kits about, but i still get it , even at nearly 5 quid, i need somthing to read at work.
Total Kit Car seems to be going in the right direction though.

Now that the dishonest publisher has sold-up and moved-on, all the publications will return to normality.
Should have happened years ago IMO, but better late than never.

Ian stent has been in the kit car world for some time as a motoring journalist,i remember he did an article on a friends locost back in 2000.

Does this mean the end of limelight exhibitions as well ?

Same here. only kit car mag I will buy is Total Kitcar mag.
Having spoken to the Editor at a show, he assured me they would never bicker like the others.
Its so unprofessional as well.
I wont pay them money to rant, I want articles, info, pictures etc... not how many pages of adverts the opposition have. I can count that myself for free.

Total Kitcar is quite a good mag in my opinion.

Is this the Filby owned mag that was 'Which Kit'?

If so, good riddance to a parasite who fed on the kit industry for far too many years.

But, don't celebrate too soon.......

Filby owns the corrupt company that runs most of the kit car shows! He gets your money at some point!

He owes me money from many years ago, even though he wound up the company.

Cheers,
Syd

Aye, it's Filby's magazine. Though Limelight (the show organiser) is officially owned by his missus IIRC, no idea if that will continue if he's leaving the industry completely.

RV Dynamics (maker of the Python, Nemasis and Bugrat) seemed to have the same address as the magazine, which wasn't mentioned at all when they got glowing reviews. Though their website has disappeared off the face of the web as well.

Syd

Yes its filby and i'm sure he doesnt have the biggest collection of christmas cards each year, limelight exhibitions have been suffering for some time and now only have one show.(Donington september with track)

They have been going downhill since the loss of kempton and sandown as venues and the little one day meet up in sussex called the rendevous.

Hi Syd,
Well, I’m relieved to know that somebody else understands the root issue.

Far, far, far too many years!

The other guy thats bought Which Kit Car? along with Ian Stent is the fella thats been printing it for the last couple years so that should help keep their costs down, I wish them the best of luck and feel sure the Bickering will stop now as long as Filbey has Nothing to do with it at all.
Come on Den you must know where Filbey has gone, tell all! Has he done a runner? Does he still have RV Dynamics? Have you buried him under a new flyover?

No Ian,
They are using your forum to tell you that the argument has concluded.

Justin (co-owner) has actually been doing the artwork – and a fine job he’s made of it too!

I don’t know what’s to happen to Peter Filby. Considering the harm he’s done; I hope he keeps running and doesn’t ever look back.
Concerning Monty Python: I believe the long running sketch is finally over. I’m hearing that it’s gone bust or been sold (truth is that probably both things have happened). Vince was on the Cobra forum a month or so ago saying he’s given up trying to sell in the UK and is going to concentrate on the American and Asian markets (link is here for those interested http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19970)
So, either way, it seems that Python won’t continue receiving 5 pages of publicity EVERY month in WKC.
Hope this answers your questions.

Did anyone in the UK buy a python kit ?

It looked a good idea using the 5 series but the front suspension didnt look right even to the very average car builder like myself.

Probably should be in another thread so sorry for the hijack
