Snow Mates!! - snowboarding this year
Lack of snow in my last boarding trip with the lads means that i'm dying to get out again this year. But..
1. the missus not being able to get time off work
2. my mates dropping out for various 'loved up' reasons
has meant that a second organised trip to snow looks unlikely ....
so, anyone got space in a chalet, or space in a car? happy to chip in for digs/petrol...
reasonable level snowboarder, i've got my own kit, house trained, not a serial killer .....

Should of said about 2 weeks ago mate.
I'm off on Saturday, there was a couple of spaces left on our trip, but the deadlines gone now, we ended up paying for 2 empty bed supplements,
typically as soon as the deadline passed a mate who I had asked before piped up, but the company wouldnt let anymore on once the deadline had gone.
Should be a good trip, 28 people going, good mix too, couples, singles, boarders, skiiers, first timers. Ive organised the whole thing! At times I
almost lost it!
I think I must be the only person to go on a skiing holiday already with a broken leg! I decided it was worth going for the social side as I had
organised the whole thing and it beats sitting around the house for another week!

Were going on the 20th:
10 first time snowboarders, all over 40, could be very messy.

They get easier the more you do! First couple of trips I organised were a right pain, loads of people telling you they were 100% commited then pulling
out when it comes to payment. Now I dont book anything until I have a sizeable non refundable deposit, then you know you can cover any cancelations,
empty bed supplements etc.
Even though I organise it for my mates, I make sure they know if they pull out they will lose out, makes people a bit more committed.
Of course there are things like illnesses you have to make certain exceptions for!
Someone else who does a big LeMans trip (another one I do) has a policy where if you pay by a certain date you get a discount (normal price) but after
that you have to pay full price (+£25 say) then that extra money covers your extra hassle for the late payers and pays for the beer on the trip.
