Mobile number tracing ????

Re the stolen trailer, the phone number he used was an o2 one, its turned off and goes straight too answerphone, because it goes too o2 answerphone does this mean it will be a contract phone or could it still be pay as you go and more too the point can you trace the owner of the phone/number ???

I hope so.

I think all mobiles start off with the original network answer message regardless of contract or pay as you go.........but what are the chances the phone was actually his (i.e not also stolen)!! I'd try phoning O2 as a start though, they might be able to help (or give details to the police if you can get them interested....)
